The Faces of Rescues - On this page you’ll meet a few of our rescues and read their stories.  Some are heart breaking.  Some are amazing.  We are glad to have been a part of each and everyone of them.

Artic - This precious mom gave birth to her first litter under a deserted trailer nearby the RR.  When time came for her second litter, she was coxed into a spare bathroom where she safely gave birth to these babies.  Artic, the kittens and Tundra from litter 1 all went to the Dublin Humane Society where they have found permanent loving homes.  Blizzard & Clarence were eventually caught by Barbara and live with her.

Her owner abandoned Sherry in a 10x10 cage.  Luckily a neighbor saw her plight.  He feed her, exercised her and kept her cage clean.  It took 8 weeks to find a new home but unfortunately her owner returned and claimed her back!  There were no laws here to protect this girl!

Sophie was left at a shelter - pregnant.  She gave birth there.  Her babies were all adopted but 6 months later she still needed a home.  Barbara took her home and even with all the love and nurturing 8 years later she can still suffer from separation anxiety and will bite her nails, afraid she will go back to a cage.  The greatest transformation to her stress came with the discovery of pet communicators and flower essences.  You'll find these people/friends/products under "Friends of the RR"

DUMPSTER DOGS - Their stories are the saddest of all.  These dogs were left inside and at dumpster sites by owners who no longer wanted them.  Rescued their fate is dark.  Most are heartworm positive, many have mange, all are malnourished, and too many are euthanized.
